Carbon Neutral Climate Action

We’re very proud that at CadDo, not only have our business activities been Carbon Neutral since our foundation, but each year we also offset the carbon emissions of our entire team.

This doesn’t just reduce our impact on climate change but sets a gold standard for how all business should operate.

We offset our emissions through a range of programmes, delivered by Carbon Footprint and certified by Verified Carbon Standard and Gold Standard.

UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

As well as being Carbon Neutral, we also subscribe to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and invest in initiatives to support these. In 2023 we have invested in programmes that are certified to address 10 of these goals.

Example Projects include:

Reforestation of degraded land in India through implementing reforestation activities, specifically targeting small and economically disadvantaged farmers and tribal landowners who do not have the capability of plantation without any external financial support and technical guidance.

Methane Gas Capture and Electricity Production at Kubratovo Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sofia, Bulgaria to transform the existing low tech sludge treatment process and dramatically reduce the existing methane gas emissions and volume of sludge.

Zambia Western province safe water project to rehabilitate and maintain vital safe water sources (like borehole handpumps), train the communities on best WASH practices, and build the capacity of local communities to manage and maintain the water sources into the future.

Reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation in Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary by protecting the forests and the carbon stored in the vegetation. The project also aims to conserve the culture and tradition of indigenous and local communities living within the forest area.

Distribution of improved cook stoves in India to facilitate clean cooking practices and reduce health risk due to indoor air pollution along with household drudgery amongst the tribal households (Schedule Tribe) and families living below the poverty level in villages of Maharashtra.

Solar grouped project to generate electricity using solar energy which is exported to the regional grid system in India. In addition to providing sustainable employment (reducing poverty) the project developer also provides improved healthcare, sanitation and education.
